The Road Not Taken...is meant not to be taken

Image
"Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveller, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth;" All of us will at least recite the poem, The Road Not Taken written by the legendary, American poet, Robert Frost at least once in a lifetime. The time when we got our SPM results. As much as we wished to posses some supernatural power so that we can see our future and don't need to think hard on which path to take, every sane human knows it can never be. Not sure about you but putting the bet of my past 13years of education from Nursery, Elementary to Secondary on a single path to determine 'who will I be' was a super-duper huge responsibility to me for I never want to let my family down. Nevertheless, till this moment, I've never regretted of the road I've taken and I really hope, so do you. Ever since I left high school, every year around March, I will be getting ...

Heart, Mind and You

Homo sapiens, the only surviving hominid; species to which modern man belongs; bipedal primate having language and ability to make and use complex tools; brain volume at least 1400 cc, according to the web definitions. Scientists classified homo sapiens as the smartest and brilliant creature in the universe, ironically, scientists are humans too. What impressed me the most about the definition was ' the ability to make and use complex tool; brain '. Is that so? Do we really have the full ability to make and use the complex tool? I can recall there was one time, I came across to a movie that had an argument on the humans' heart and mind. Does the heart or the mind play more important role in decision makings? Scientifically, brain can definitely be listed as the most complicated tool but something much more complex is awaiting in the list; The heart. Have you ever encountered a moment when you are unsure if the things you are going after are your desires? At times, I...

Appreciation makes things last

"When was the last time you found out the hands of your watch stopped moving?" For the past few days, the weather has been very cloudy. I kinda missing the morning sunshine, when the warmth of the sunshine radiates the gentle heat and touches the skin. It just feels so right and pleasant. Human nature always work this way. We never learn to appreciate not until the moment when we found out, the things that we are familiar to are not longer there. I had my Applied Thermodynamics extra and replacement classes today from 9am to 4pm. There goes my beautiful Saturday, facing the same lecturer for the same subject. Woke up kinda late today to prepare for class. Class on Saturday is like another torture to a lazy bum bum like me, what even worse, a 6 hours lecture. Since it's a Saturday, I decided to go for casual wear. Instead of wearing the stainless steel, formal Casio watch, I decided to go for the baby pink, leather strap Elle watch, a lovely birthday present from a m...

Asia Pacific Communities Volunteer Conference 2013 (AP CVC 2013)

16th and 17th Nov. Hectic. The weekend was just way too hectic. If I am to ask myself how I actually survived it through, I can't even actually make a statement. Chinese people say, "A second presented on the stage actually took 10 years of hard work". I went up and down from Melacca to KL to have rehearsals for the Asia Pacific Communities Volunteer Conference 2013 (AP CVC 13) emcee session. The routine lasted for few weeks for every weekend. I am not sure how I endured it but I am glad enough, all these officially over :) First and foremost, I considered myself as one of the luckiest humans to have joined the international conference at the very young age. True enough that opportunity don't approach you all the time but when it does, grab it, hold tight and make it real. It is never too late or too early to learn because life, itself is all about the never ending and continuous learning. 16th started when I had to rush to Armada Hotel for the Kuok Foundat...
When fear arouses one's mind, it feels so insecure and weak. Fear is always the factor that mark the boundary to limit someone from achieving and exploring more. It has to be overcomed before you can achieve more. Just wonder if there's anyone in this world that completely get rid of the fear feeling and take every step with bold and courage without looking back or regretting. Humans are such weak creatures after all...How disasters and fierce natural phenomenons can easily ended unlimited counts of life. While everyone is busy achieving their respective goals of life with all their mights, there are some people at the other side of the world who live their lives as if like the journey of it doesn't bring much impact to them. Realizing how life could be so ironic, at times, I do wonder, what's the purpose of it when one born and die bare-handed. What if someone die without leaving any traces and no one can even remember the name. That's pathetic. Perhaps, the journe...
